So, yes, I finally bothered to update. Not that I haven't been drawing, just that scanning and editing pics for DA is usually an epic task, or at least a couple hours worth of work because I have to scan on the other computer and transfer the files to mine. Bleh.

Still doing stuff, though becoming very edgy about sharing it. I actually brought my portfolio of drawings to my writer's group just for a change of pace, and some of the critique was...well, not harsh, but worded in a pretty careless way that kind of hurt.

I know. I know. I know. I have problems with faces. I have problems with perspective. I have problems with hands. And I'm actively working on fixing it, but, not easy. Especially frustrating when I'm trying to avoid the same details that I fall into because they're comfortable, and after a while, I look down and surprise! Look what I've drawn anyway.

My ultimate goal of sequential art does seem fairly unreachable as it stands. Comics are just damn hard, requiring metric shitloads (as opposed to imperial ass tons) of perspective, background, faces, lighting. Someday? Maybe. Hard to see that far ahead, you know, like driving in the dark and only being able to see darkness beyond the little sphere of your headlights.

Little by little, I guess. I figure at the rate I'm going, out of every seven or so sketches is decent enough to be further developed, ie inked, colored/markered. That's an improvement, it used to be 20, then 15, so...progress.
